Where Did Christmas Go?
A Christmas story and play for all.
Once upon a time, a young orphan boy, Aplomb, lived in a quaint little town nestled between rolling hills surrounded by a deep green forest. He was a bright-eyed child of about eight, with a heart full of dreams and a spirit that refused to be broken, despite the hardships he had endured in his short life.
He had lost his parents to a tragic accident when he was just a baby, leaving him in the care of the town's woodcutter, Migrant. Old Man Migrant was a kind-hearted individual who had been like a father to Aplomb. He had raised him with love and taught him the values of kindness and compassion.
Gewgaw was known for its close-knit community, where everyone knew everyone else, and harmony seemed to be the way of life. But like many towns, it had its dark corners, hidden behind the facades of smiling faces. One such shadow was the undertone of bias that existed among some of the townsfolk. Although most of the people in Gewgaw were welcoming and warm-hearted, a few couldn't look past Aplomb's different skin color.
